Borderlands Forums

I believe that today, October 26th was the release of the PC version of Borderlands.
I’m a part of a set of forums for the game, which can be found here.
We’ve had a vast amount of users joining/coming online too.

Winamp

I haven’t made a new blog post in a while, so I figured I’d make one about Winamp. ^_^
Winamp is basically a music library very similar to itunes.
The thing I like best about it, is the free radio and tv channels that it has. Although Pandora is very popular, Winamp has a wide variety of radio stations to tune into.

What is SPAM?

This is my definition of SPAM on forums:
SPAM stands for Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages.
The following will be considered SPAM:

* Off-Topic Posts – Any post that is either irrelevant to the topic of discussion, or forum is classified as SPAM.
* Capitals – Excessive usage of caps, is considered spam.
* Intentional Post Count Raising – Posting comments just to raise your post count is considered as SPAM. A common instance of this is replying to questions that have already been answered and repeating the answer, or just posting nonsense that has absolutely nothing to do with that forum or discussion at hand.
* Multiple threads and Double Posting – Posting multiple threads about the same topic or posting two times in a row in the same topic will be considered SPAM.
* Replies – Any replies that have only three words or under are classified as SPAM, unless you are in the Forum Games section.
* Personal Member-To-Member Threads – If you post a thread directed at a specific member, it may be classified as SPAM. Please use the Private Messaging function to contact members privately about personal matters, or discussions.
* Legibility – Posts should be written in a legible manner. Unreadable posts due to lack of punctuation, use of “l33t sp33k”, spelling, or other things mentioned in other rules are considered SPAM.
* Advertisements – Anything advertising another unrelated website will be marked as SPAM.

The Difference Between a DoS and a DDoS Attack

DoS: A DoS Attack (Denial of Service attack) involves using one computer/Internet connection to flood a server with packets. (TCP/UDP) The Objective of this attack is to ‘overload’ the servers bandwidth and other resources, This will cause a Denial of Service to anyone else that tries to use the server, hence the name “Denial of Service Attack.”

DDoS: A DDoS Attack (Distributed Denial of Service Attack) is pretty much the same as a DoS, but the difference in results is massive. As Its name suggests the DDoS attack is executed using a distributed computing method often referred to as a “botnet army”. The creation process of which involves infecting computers with a form of malware that gives the botnet owner access to the computer somewhat. This could be anything from simply using the computers connection to flood to total control of the computer. These attacks affect the victims computer server more than a regular DoS because multiple connections are being used against one connection.

Ovguide/Ovguide Forums

I have included link In the sidebar, to ovguide and the forums.
OvGuide Is basically the best movie link website out there. It has links to every movie that you would ever want to find. The forums are not very active surprisingly, but at least the moderators of It go online.
I found out about OvGuide from my sister a few years ago, and since then I have told many others about It.
I like the style of the website, and I like how Kongregate Is featured right on the front page of It as well.

Christianity

My beliefs do not really tie up In my experiences online, or maybe they do?
Anyway, I am making this, so everyone knows that I am, and always will be a christian.
The way I think about It, Is that “atheism” Is a religion too. They believe In evolution and Darwinism and whatnot. My brother Is an atheist, and my sister Is a christian. I am a christian, because I believe that there Is a god and heaven. (and hell and satan) I see the atheist point of view though. Our bible looks rather impossible at times. Eg. having one of every animal In the world In one ark. However, all Christians rely on faith usually.
Of course there are those who have seen angels before. My statement to all atheists: Prove that there Isn’t a god and we’ll talk. Of course they have that counter-statement: Prove that there Is a god. The way I see things, Is that being a christian does not harm me In any way.
I live no differently then an atheist would, except I believe In god.
What are the cons of being a christian? None at all. Even If some atheist could make up a few, the pros would still be way greater. Most of the people I meet online are atheists for some reason. I do not know why this Is so, but America seems to be a “christian” nation. Right on our currency It says “In God we trust”.
Anyway, this Is just my opinion on atheism/christianity.
